Experiencing unconditional and pure love, but sacrifice.
Profound connection but falling apart,
Rebirth is here finally.
“Everything that changes” has taken on a new meaning for me. The cycles of life—birth, death, and rebirth—are not just abstract concepts, but lived experiences. I am learning to embrace change, not as a distant, impersonal force, but as a deeply personal journey, one that is marked by love, pain, and the quiet strength that comes with motherhood.
The early days of motherhood have been both beautiful and brutal.
The arrival of Lúa, my daughter, has marked the beginning of an entirely new phase of my life, a shift that has reshaped my identity and artistic vision. In her, I have found a love so pure and intense, that it’s as if the very essence of life is flowing through me. Yet, along with this profound love, came a journey through self-discovery, and a confrontation with my shadows.
The process of facing my own shadow and the shadow of my partner. Of a world that pushes us too fast outward and does not support motherhood and its slow rhythms of being in the cave and resting.
Through these experiences, I’ve also faced the emotional cost of this transition. The bond I share with my partner has been tested, strained by the constant dynamic shift and the overwhelming demands of caring for a newborn.
As I struggle and enjoy the isolation that often comes with the early days of parenthood, I have also realized the loss of community support—the “tribe” that once helped nurture new families. In this disconnected world, we are forced to stand alone, to ask for help when we feel most vulnerable. And yet, it is in this vulnerability that I find a kind of light—a light that is symbolized by Lúa herself, whose name means “the one who gives light the darkness.”
